SERIALS
Important sources of current information are newspapers, magazines and journals that are issued periodically. These are collectively called serials.
Most of the collections are in print format and are arranged alphabetically. All serials are for room use only. These can be borrowed, however, for photo duplication.
If you do not have a specific title in mind, you may consult published indexes for materials on your subject from the following online databases:

IPP Online is primarily a Web-based article indexing system based on the Index to Philippine Periodicals (IPP) which was originally produced as a printed research guide to periodical articles indexed by the Bibliography and Indexing Section of the UP Diliman University Library. Computerized Index to Philippine Periodical Articles (CIPPA)
Compiled by the Rizal Library at Ateneo de Manila University, CIPPA is a database of periodical articles from nearly 200 titles of academic journals, national newspapers, and magazines published in the Philippines and overseas. The articles are carefully selected and indexed in order to provide information about the Philippines, specifically, politics, economics, places and events, entertainment, social trends, editorials and columns, special features, and prominent and influential personalities in different fields.
DOAJ Catalogue and Index
To check a specific journal article, you may use the OPAC or the Serials List. When using the OPAC, key in the correct article title in the search box however, if you can't determine the correct title key in instead the author or the subject of the article that you are searching for.
